2021 Woodward Chardonnay

Woodward is our flagship. Over a third of our vineyard is dedicated to Chardonnay, with five different clones grown across five sub-blocks, creating small, individual parcels that are blended into the final wine. The grapes are whole bunch pressed into 35% new oak barrels and spend nine months in barrel. 
Light honey gold in colour, this Chardonnay mirrors its coastal surroundings. Aromas of flint, pineapple, lime, and roasted peaches lead to a palate of grapefruit pith, sweet stone fruit, and balanced acidity. Structured and age-worthy, this wine rewards extended cellaring.
